Exploring the Degrees

Location: Freemasons Hall, 111 Merrimack St., Haverhill, Mass. Free parking behind the building.

Open to: Scottish Rite Masons

6:00 P.M.  Enjoy a social with your fellow members.

6:30 P.M.  Our evening presentation will be preceded by a delicious chicken parmigiana and pasta dinner under the direction of our Junior Wardens. Cost: $15.00. Reservations required see below. See also our Reservation Policy.

7:30 P.M. Full Form Opening created especially for this occasion, based on the traditions of the Lodge and Council degrees. This is a must-see for old and new members alike.

  • "Exploring the Degrees" Program.  

The program will begin with a survey of the Lodge and Council degrees, exploring such questions as where they came from, who wrote them, and how they have changed through the centuries.

Then there will be a discussion of the philosophy of the degrees, contrasting Scottish Rite and Blue Lodge degrees, and tying them in to the core values of the Rite: Reverence for God, Integrity, Justice, Toleration, Devotion to Country, and Service to Humanity.

A collation will follow.

Dress for Officers, Past Heads, and Thirty-Thirds: Black Tie
